MCA Consulting Engineers has enjoyed supporting clients and other professionals for over forty years by working creatively and collaboratively to influence the design of better buildings; buildings that are healthy, safe, comfortable, efficient and appealing.

We undertake the design of a full range of mechanical and electrical services in buildings, and our core portfolio includes supporting the sensitive and sympathetic renovation of some of the nation’s treasured historic buildings, as well as the design of new buildings for education, and core services for critical healthcare facilities. We have extensive experience in supporting the design and development of new residential communities including housing and other community facilities such as community buildings, sports and leisure facilities and increasingly, Extra Care facilities for senior living.

Since MCA was first established in 1977, we have had the privilege of using experience and innovation to contribute to the success of a diverse range of projects. We have been associated with several award-shortlisted and award-winning developments and buildings.

One of the strengths of MCA is our diverse and well-established staff team, who all work well together and bring different technical skills and experience from a wide range of backgrounds.

Practical experience of undertaking installation work and solving problems on site is invaluable, and we recognise that it cannot be taught at university. Our experience tells us that those who have practical experience are often best placed to undertake the design of electrical installations. Some of those who develop into the best engineers have come from a practical background, usually having completed a trade apprenticeship at some point.

We are looking for just such an individual to add to our team.

We are looking for a time-served electrician with experience of designing electrical installations. Someone who is a self-starter and keen learner. Someone with ambition to develop themselves through further study at college and/or university.

We are looking for a warm, friendly, confident, positive, and enthusiastic individual who is looking keen to invest in their own professional development and who is looking for an employer to invest with them.
